New podcast 'Shared History' hosted by Naperville native features Naperville Central mummy

Arcade Audio, an independent audio network based out of Chicago, has launched a new podcast.

"Shared History," (www.ArcadeAudio.net/SharedHistory) is a history-comedy podcast that focuses on obscure, overlooked and underrepresented historical events and people. It is geared toward the young adult and older audiences.

"Shared History" is hosted by Chicago comedians Cassidy Maher and Natalie Younger. "Younger" (fka Mueller) is an alumna of Naperville Central High School.

The most recent episode featured Chicago Red Stars midfielder Nikki Stanton and stories from sports history, including the recent Women's World Cup, the 1999 United States women's national soccer team and World Cup, and basketball Hall-of-Famer, Cheryl Miller.

An upcoming episode will feature histories from the hosts' hometowns, including the story of Naperville Central High School's Egyptian mummy.

It is slated to be published on Tuesday, July 23.

Younger says, "I almost became a history teacher because of my NCHS teachers. This podcast has been like reuniting with an old flame. You make something because you love it. The fact that people are listening and love it too is a delightful bonus."

Fans of the podcast can contact Younger, Maher and their production team via email SharedHistoryPodcast@gmail.com to provide feedback and topic ideas for the podcast, or to become a guest on the show.
