Round Lake Park upgrades police booking equipment

The Round Lake Park Police Department has acquired a new booking system that's expected to allow officers to work more efficiently.

The LS1100 system is designed to be permanently mounted for booking at the police station or can be carried in the field. The system employs a color touch screen which makes it simple to use and collects forensic-quality fingerprints.

Officers can process those arrested for minor offenses at the police station as an alternative to transporting them out town to the 911 Center/ Lockup in Round Lake Beach.
