Naperville man charged with criminal damage to property

A 22-year-old Naperville man has been charged with five counts of criminal damage to property after authorities said he damaged vehicles and homes owned by his ex-girlfriend's family in both Naperville and unincorporated portions of DuPage County.

Colin Herbstritt of the 1400 block of Druid Court turned himself in to police on an outstanding warrant. He has been released on bail.

Police said the charges resulted from an investigation into vandalism that occurred between May 22 and June 19.

Naperville police said they worked with DuPage sheriff's deputies on the case.
