Board president should cause no more despair
Despair is defined as the absence of hope. Angelo Kyle apologized for causing despair.
A sincere apology (really?) for canceling Civil War Days on his own initiative. He kept the board, the Lake County Forest Preserve District in the dark until he canceled the event, this a day before the board was to meet. He allowed a speaker on the agenda, prepared, a political activist, to speak his opinion that this event is racist. Prior approval for speakers is necessary, and yet the board was not informed
You have read "the rest of the story," event back on, event back off. Stay tuned until next year. If I feel I will be offended by an event, I do not attend. With an open mind, I might learn something,
As a taxpayer I expect transparency, integrity and professionalism. Mr. Kyle's tactics do not represent what I voted for. He should resign and cause us no more despair. Also take a look at the definition of bully.
