'Protections' will hurt state
The front page headline banner in the June 22 Daily Herald read, "Pritzker signs 3 bills to protect immigrants." It would have been more truthful to say that "Pritzker's action had nothing to do with "immigrants." His action was about people living here illegally. These people are here to take the jobs of immigrants for less money, thus driving down wages for the low-income workers and the middle class. This action will further hurt Illinois, increase unemployment, and drive even more people out of the state.
