Nation can't afford Trump deficits
"Fake news" is how President Donald Trump describes published stories in the so-called mainstream media that are critical of him, his family members or his administration. It has gotten to the point now that his sycophants in right-wing media claim that almost all media outlets with the exception of Fox and right-wing talk radio are purveyors of fake news.
Maybe that is why the president and right-wing leaders in Congress have chosen to ignore a story published on foxnews.com concerning deficits and the national debt. Alex Pappas reports that the deficit is projected to exceed $1 trillion this year, at a time when the national debt already exceeds $22 trillion.
For those wondering about how much is a trillion - it is one thousand billion. When he ran for president then-candidate Trump promised to do something about bringing down deficits. During his first two years, President Donald Trump and the Republican-controlled Congress reduced revenues and spending increased.
To be fair, Democrats are just as bad as Republicans when it comes to wasting tax dollars. The main reason that President Donald Trump should be defeated in 2020 is that the country cannot afford four more years of wasteful spending and massive deficits.
