Celebrate independence

Your "other than that, how did you enjoy the play, Mrs. Lincoln," editorial July 4, sadly, is the poster child for what ails the news media. It is a classic example of an apparent inability, or unwillingness in today's media to simply honor and applaud the greatest country on Earth without kidney punching Uncle Sam at the same time.

Maybe next year you use the ink on printing the Trumbull painting of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and celebrate Independence Day instead?
