Wauconda library director to retire

Wauconda Area Library Director Tom Kern is retiring after more than 27 years. Kern is set to wraup up his career at the Main Street facility on Sept. 13. An interim director will be named, according to library board documents. A library board committee will oversee the search for a replacement.
