Kimmer's Ice Cream to celebrate renovated store
ST. CHARLES - Kimmer's Ice Cream will hold a grand reopening of its renovated St. Charles store, 1 Illinois St., from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. July 20.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony with the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce will be held at 12:30 p.m.
The renovations consist of an interior traffic flow update, featuring a built-in booth to eliminate a few tables and allow for better traffic flow, dipping cases in a single row with the payment station at the end of the row to allow for all the flavors to be visible, new countertops that brighten up the space, new chandeliers, an interior neon sign and a heart window round out to add some dazzle and a new lighted brick patio to give customers more outdoor seating.
Kimmer's Ice Cream owner Kimberly Yates said her goal was to help enhance the customer experience with an updated look, better seating options and a more efficient line flow.
Throughout the celebration, Kimmer's will be offering Buy One Scoop Get One Scoop Free all day, as well as a raffle every hour from 1-9 p.m. with one entry per receipt. Prizes are to several amazing downtown businesses such as $100 to Blue Goose, $100 to Wok n' Fire, $75 to the Wine Exchange, $100 to Eden on the River and plenty more from Kava Diem, Brunch Cafe, Arcedium Coffeehouse, Two Wild Seeds, SIP Parties and Kimmer's. Kimmer's will also be hosting face painting from 1-3 p.m., balloon twisting from 3-6 p.m., a photo booth by Oh Photo from 3-7 p.m. and music from the duo Yesterday's New from 6-9 p.m.
