Mr. Myers to headline Hoffman Estates concert

Hoffman Estates' Summer Sounds on the Green concert series will return Thursday, with the Caribbean rock sounds of Mr. Myers. The show will start at 7 p.m. at the Hoffman Estates Village Green and is sponsored by the Hoffman Estates Arts Commission and the Hoffman Estates Park District.

Mr. Myers is known for their mixture of reggae, soca/calypso, beach music, as well as their original songs.

The Virginia Mary Hayter Village Green is located at 5510 Prairie Stone Parkway, across the street from the Sears Centre Arena in the Poplar Creek at 59/90 Entertainment District.

Admission is free. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair to the amphitheater, and picnics are welcome. The Hideaway Beer Garden will be offering a wide variety of food, craft beers and cocktails for purchase. Weather permitting, the Hideaway will be open until 10 p.m. on Thursdays. The Craft Canteen will also be available on the hill overlooking the amphitheater.
