Vernon Township opens community pool for recreational swimming

Vernon Township has announced that Peterson Pool at 16652 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Prairie View, will be open for recreational swimming.

Fifty people will be allowed in the pool at one time, including staff. Reservations are not currently required and walk-ups will be accepted.

Patrons do not have to wear a mask when they are in the water or when they are in their socially distanced group area on deck, but they must wear a face mask at all other times while in the facility.

Public swim will take place on weekdays from noon to 8 p.m. and weekends from noon to 6 p.m. Peterson Park pool staff will be sanitizing the facility at least every two hours.

Vernon Township provides services to residents in all or portions of Buffalo Grove, Indian Creek, Lake Forest, Lincolnshire, Long Grove, Mettawa, Mundelein, Riverwoods, Vernon Hills and unincorporated Vernon Township.
