8,000 Japanese Daiso Products

Niles, IL- June 28, 2019. It looked like it was Black Friday in June. The first Midwest Japanese $2 Discount Store opened in Niles on June 15, 2019. On opening day, approximately 600 people waited for up to three hours to enter Chicago's newest Japanese discount store Hello Tokyo, located at 9038 W. Golf Rd in Niles. Hello Tokyo offers an assortment of over 8,000 Japanese products mainly sourced from Daiso Japan. Everything from health and beauty products to cute Japanese stationery to ceramic dishes to Japanese snacks and drinks, Hello Tokyo has it all for anyone who loves all things Asian. "It was worth the long wait. The staff was friendly and the store was stocked to the brim with $2 Daiso items," said Sarah Kim who travelled all the way from Skokie to attend the Grand Opening. With 90% of the products selling for $2, Hello Tokyo offers an alternative to typical dollar stores, geared towards an Asian palette.
