Prosecutors drop charges against Palatine woman
Cook County prosecutors dismissed charges against a Palatine woman after she successfully completed the state's attorney's deferred prosecution program, court records show.
Bozena Meyers, 43, had no other criminal background when she was arrested on drug charges in June 2018, prosecutors said.
First-time offenders charged with nonviolent crimes are eligible for the 12-month, alternative sentencing program with requirements that include restitution, treatment (if necessary), employment and community service.
