Free lunches at Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates library branches

Free lunches are available to children and teens age 18 and younger on certain days at the Schaumburg Township District Library's Hanover Park Branch at 1266 Irving Park Road and Hoffman Estates Branch at 1550 Hassell Road.

At the Hanover Park Branch, lunches are served from noon to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday, followed by snacks from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Food must be eaten in the library's program room.

This Summer Food Service Program is offered through the U.S. Department of Agriculture and administered by the Illinois State Board of Education.

At the Hoffman Estates Branch, hot lunches are served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays for ages 2 through 18 years. This program is offered through Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211.

Anyone who meets the age requirements is welcome. No documentation is required.
