BeachFest in Round Lake continues through Sunday

Round Lake's BeachFest got underway Friday evening and continues through Sunday, June 30, at the Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center, 2007 N. Civic Center Way.

The festival, which features music, vendors, beverages and food, continues from 1-11 p.m. Saturday and 1-8 p.m. Sunday. A fireworks show will be held at dusk on Saturday.

Children's entertainment is planned from 1-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-11 p.m. Sunday. Planned activities include puppet shows, inflatables, a petting zoo, a trackless train, face-painting, and performances by the Frog Lady and Jason the Juggler.

Musical entertainment includes live acts on two stages, including BritBeat at 8:30 p.m. and after the fireworks on Saturday and Head Honchos at 6 p.m. Sunday.

Festival admission is free. The children's area is $5 per child Saturday and Sunday. For information, visit rlbciviccenter.com/beachfest1.html.
