BeachFest returns to Round Lake June 28-30
The village of Round Lake Beach and Round Lake Area Park District will present their annual BeachFest celebration Friday through Sunday, June 28-30, at the Round Lake Beach Cultural and Civic Center, 2007 N. Civic Center Way, Round Lake Beach.
The festival will feature music, vendors, beverages and food from 3-11 p.m. Friday, 1-11 p.m. Saturday and 1-8 p.m. Sunday. A fireworks show will be held at dusk on Saturday.
Children's entertainment is planned from 1-2 and 5-8 p.m. Friday, 1-8 p.m. Saturday and 2-11 p.m. Sunday. Planned activities include puppet shows, inflatables, a petting zoo, a trackless train, face-painting, and performances by the Frog Lady and Jason the Juggler.
Musical entertainment will feature live acts on two stages, including the Main Stage lineup of petRock at 6 p.m. and classic rock tribute band Infinity at 8:30 p.m. Friday; Vivid Vision at 3:30 p.m., Eliminator at 6:30 p.m. and BritBeat at 8:30 p.m. and after the fireworks on Saturday; and the Community Band at 3:30 p.m., Wheelhouse at 4:30 p.m. and Head Honchos at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Beer, wine and mixed drinks will be available for purchase, and advance purchase of drink tickets guarantee holders an indoor seat to the main stage concerts in case of poor weather.
Festival admission is free. The children's area is free Friday night, and $5 per child Saturday and Sunday.
