Batavia
• Dominique J.C. McClose, 25, of the 600 block of Fulton Street, Aurora, was arrested and charged with obstructing identification, driving while license suspended, no insurance, and driving while using a cellphone after a traffic stop at 1:44 p.m. Tuesday on the 1100 block of South Batavia Avenue, according to police. She also was wanted on a failure to appear warrant out of DeKalb County for driving while license suspended.
• An HP Pavilion 15 laptop valued at $600 was stolen from Walmart, 801 N. Randall Road, at 8:14 p.m. Sunday.
Kane County
• A 48-inch Viking stove, 24 can light bulbs, a closet organizer, two shower heads, a mailbox and ceiling fan were stolen by a tenant at a house on the 45W0-99 block of Welter Road near Maple Park between 5 p.m. June 17 and 10 a.m. June 18. The loss was estimated at $5,150.
• A resident of the 5N600 block of Jens Jensen Lane near St. Charles reported at 6:15 p.m. June 15 that someone struck a mailbox and drove through a plant bed, causing an estimated $750 damage.
• Vehicles on the 39W700 and 39W800 block of Benton Lane near Geneva were burglarized between 4 p.m. June 20 and 6:15 p.m. June 21. In one case, a wallet, skateboard and $150 were stolen; in another, a women's wallet and $40 were stolen.
