Explore fire truck, police car at Schaumburg's Touch a Truck

Explore various trucks and vehicles that keep our community clean, safe and running smoothly at Schaumburg Park District's free, Touch a Truck event.

Attendees are encouraged to climb aboard from noon-2 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, at Bock Neighborhood Center, 1223 W. Sharon Lane. This event will feature a fire truck, ambulance, dump truck, police car and more.

"We can't wait to see the look of wonder and excitement in children's eyes," said Kathleen Benson, Bock Neighborhood Center manager and general program supervisor. "Families will enjoy the up-close exposure to important and familiar jobs in the community."

Children of all ages are encouraged to climb vehicles to touch, observe and experience what it is like to be behind the wheel.

The event is free to attend and food will be available for purchase.
