Gurnee library seeks applicants to fill board vacancy

The Warren-Newport Public Library District is seeking applicants to fill an empty seat on the board. Candidates must be registered voters who live in the library district. According to a news release issued Monday, the board would like the applicant to fill the position of Policy Chair, a post that requires an ability and desire to review, modify and develop board policies. The board will provide mentoring for this position, which requires about three hours a month outside of meetings. The appointee will serve until May 2021. Those interested are to submit an application, which can be found on the library website, wnpl.info. Applications will be accepted through July 11.
