Inhumanity of third-trimester abortion

Did any of you state legislators read the Daily Herald cover story on June 10, 2019? It showed a picture of Addy Sackett, who was born in her second trimester at 1 pound, 3 ounces. She just graduated from high school.

Emailing and calling my own congressman and congresswoman and Kelly Cassidy and Melinda Bush to not approve third-trimester abortions, fell on deaf ears. Most third-trimester aborted babies would have had a good chance to survive unaided.

Most major illnesses, disabilities and genetic disorders appear during the first trimester. If a woman does not want to have her baby, wouldn't she have a good idea in the first six months of pregnancy?

So, thanks to lawmakers and thanks to our governor, who labeled Illinois the most "progressive" state for reproductive rights, we now have legalized partial-birth abortion.

My question is this: Can't women talk to their doctors during the first six months of pregnancy and make an informed, personal decision to abort before the last trimester?
