Troop 209 honors its newest Eagle Scout

Palatine Troop 209 announced that Lee Blanck has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Blanck is currently a senior at Palatine High School, attended Jane Addams Elementary School and graduated from Winston Campus Junior High.

During his time in Scouting, Blanck has not only learned to be a confident and able camper and outdoorsman, but also to be a leader and solid communicator.

His leadership and communication skills were put to the test when he planned and completed his Eagle Project making 30 tournament size baggo game boards for the Palatine Jaycees to support their Hometown Fest Fourth of July tournament.

Blanck chose to support the Jaycees because he has had the benefit of experiencing the level of support the Jaycees provide to Palatine through the years while involved with the organization due to his family being active members.

As a Scout, Blanck has experienced high adventure trips, lived on a remote island at Florida Seabase, canoed at Minnesota's Northern Tier and backpacked below the rim of the Grand Canyon.
