Rockland Road project open house June 27

An informational open house regarding the Rockland Road reconstruction project will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at Libertyville village hall, 118 W. Cook Ave.

Staff members from the village, Libertyville Township Highway Department and Civiltech Engineering Inc. will be on hand to answer questions.

The two-year project runs from Prairie Avenue east to St. Mary's Road. Work this season will focus on the village portion. Construction of the township portion from the Des Plaines River bridge to St. Mary's Road is scheduled for next year. The bridge replacement is a separate project anticipated in 2022 or 2023.
