Gun laws don't help

On Sunday, June 9, press reports described a Saturday night where within 10 hours, there were 22 people hurt in shootings. How will fingerprinting and increasing the fees for FOID cards charged to all the honest nonviolent citizens living in Illinois that own a gun help?

When a crime is committed, why not find the criminal instead of passing another law against the citizen. Stop passing these punitive laws. What the politicians are doing has nothing to do with stopping crime, it sells to the public's idea of stopping crime. It's a political gimmick intended to create a new tax.
