Arlington Heights school supply drive to begin Saturday

The Arlington Heights Fire Department and International Association of Fire Fighters Local 31505 will start a monthlong school supply drive Saturday to benefit students at Timber Ridge School.

Until July 15, there will be donation boxes located at all four village fire stations to collect supplies, which will be distributed on the first day of school to students at Timber Ridge, the K-8 therapeutic day school on Evanston Avenue.

Needed items include: 24-count box of crayons, 8-count box of markers, pencils, colored pencils, folders, erasers, spiral notebooks, safe tip scissors, glue sticks, Post-it notes, Ziploc bags and Kleenex.

The four firehouses are located at 300 E. Sigwalt St., 1150 N. Arlington Heights Road, 2000 S. Arlington Heights Road and 3030 N. Arlington Heights Road.
