So much for the savings

Criminal.

An accurate description of the collective effort to legislate an increase in taxes and fees - touching those who simply drive a car to those who are "rich" - while ignoring the root problems of Illinois' public pension obligation and a credit rating at the bottom of the barrel. As of two years ago, 21% of the state's revenue was funding pension obligations, the same amount that went to education of our youth.

Further, residents can't trust that any additional revenue will be used effectively.

Ironically, a portion of the taxes I pay are supporting these efforts. If the goal is to get some people to seriously consider other states to reside in, good work.

Really pathetic.
