Comfortable seating will correct many ills

Nothing but an 93-year-old tired backyard here. No lighting, no seating, nothing but tired and empty!

My yard is old and sad. This gramma wants an adult oasis. Please help inspire me with a small but beautiful and entertaining backyard. I am open to any idea and willing to roll up my sleeves!

This brick patio is surrounded by overgrown foliage. So roll up your sleeves to clear away that fallen tree and let's have some fun.

Suggestions

• Add a small love seat and two lounge chairs in the shaded area by the house. We suggest then adding a cocktail table and tea cart for entertaining.

• An inexpensive picnic table can be brought in to add seating for the grandkids!

• Plant foliage to add character to the yard, possibly with hostas and potted plants.

• Consider firing up some torch lights for that 'oasis' look!

Torch lights add ambience and will get those parties rolling.
Hostas and other landscaping around the yard will update its looks instantly.
