St. Charles man dies after motorcycle crash

A St. Charles man died Saturday evening as a result of a motorcycle crash, police said.

Gustavo Sanchez Pineda, 49 was driving a 2002 Suzuki motorcycle west on East Main Street in St. Charles when he hit a vehicle stopped in a turn lane, according to a news release. Pineda was ejected from the motorcycle, which then hit a second vehicle.

St. Charles police and fire departments responded to the scene on the 2500 block of East Main Street at 5:44 p.m.

Pineda died at Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital in Geneva.
