5 injured in crash during police chase in central Indiana

ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) - Authorities say a crash during a police chase in central Indiana left five people injured.

The Herald Bulletin reports Madison County sheriff's deputies were chasing a vehicle on Wednesday night when the vehicle ran a red light at an intersection and collided with another vehicle. The driver of the fleeing vehicle was injured along with two of his passengers. Two people in the other vehicle also were injured.

The sheriff's office says two of the people in the fleeing vehicle had active arrest warrants. The investigation into the chase and crash is ongoing.
