Taxing legal firearms owners

I have not been able to figure out how Sen. Julie Morrison's SB1966 will save lives. All it does is tax the legally registered firearm owners because the state has the data to do so.

If you're going to tax firearm owners, then also tax the illegal owners of firearms. What, how does she do that? Yes, it is easier to tax the persons following the rules and regulations than put the violators in jail. This is nothing more than a way to tax people in this state to fill the state coffers due to the negligence of prior state government.

If she is so bent on stopping misuse of firearms, then keep the person so charged in prison for life, no parole. Someone then may get the message. It seem as if the state penal system has a revolving door at jails. You read how a person on a weapons charge is sent to prison and shortly after that person is in on the street again picked up by the police on another weapons charge.

So time to lay off the registered weapons owners to pull the state out of its financial problem and cut the salary of our state lawmakers.

We pay there salary. Do the gang bangers? Time for them to be like the working people who pay there wages and go on Social Security.
