Let's combine best of two systems
Just finished reading Walter Williams' glorification of capitalists and capitalism versus socialism, which translated into, all capitalism is good, all socialism is bad. Guess that means no more "Social" Security, and no more "social" programs like Medicare. That should improve everyone's life. I wonder, what will they do with that part of the budget when they'll have all that leftover money"
Will they use it to clean up the lakes and streams that catch on fire because the pollution is so great? Will they use it to clan up the air that will again become unbreathable? Will it be used to cover the cost of hospital care for poisoned stomachs from contaminated food?
There are some things good about capitalism; there are some things good about socialism. Why do they have to be exclusionary? Why can't we combine the best of both systems, so most everyone has a chance at a piece of the pie? Shouldn't that be the ultimate goal? Rather than all the hatred and bigotry and name-calling and denigration of others who don't think the same.
