Florida St. WR Campbell joins West Virginia as grad transfer

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - Former Florida State wide receiver George Campbell has been added to West Virginia's roster as a graduate transfer.

West Virginia coach Neal Brown announced the 6-foot-4 Campbell's addition Tuesday.

In a tweet that included a photo of himself at Mountaineer Field in Morgantown, Campbell said, "Glad to be home."

Campbell had 13 career catches for 206 yards with the Seminoles and announced his intentions to transfer in February.

The 22-year-old Campbell will help at a position where West Virginia saw stars David Sills and Gary Jennings graduate while speedster Marcum Simms has entered the NCAA transfer portal.
