Island Lake officials to talk budget

Island Lake officials will meet Tuesday as a finance committee to discuss the proposed budget for the 2020 fiscal year, which began May 1. The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at village hall, 3720 Greenleaf Ave. Officials reported a roughly $2 million revenue shortfall in the 2019 fiscal year and had to cut spending from that year's $8.9 million budget.
