DePauw University's fundraising campaign raises $380 million

GREENCASTLE, Ind. (AP) - DePauw University says its multi-year fundraising campaign has raised $380 million.

The Greencastle liberal arts school announced the update Wednesday on the "Campaign for DePauw," which will conclude June 30. The university's President Mark McCoy says in a statement the effort this week surpassed the largest campaign in the western Indiana school's history.

The campaign was launched in 2014. A cornerstone was support for student access and financial aid, which attracted $93 million in new endowed funds for student scholarships. The fundraising effort also brought in $71 million for academic life and $40 million for student engagement and experiential learning.

DePauw University's previous campaign record total was $376.6 million set in 2000 at the close of "The Campaign for DePauw: Leadership for a New Century."
