Troop 209 Eagle Scout Lee Blanck

Palatine Troop 209 is thrilled to announce that Lee Blanck has earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Lee is currently a senior at Palatine High School, attended Jane Addams Elementary School and graduated from Winston Campus Junior High.

During his time in Scouting, Lee has not only learned to be a confident and able camper and outdoorsman, but also to be a leader and solid communicator. His leadership and communication skills were put to the test when he planned and completed his Eagle Project making 30 tournament size baggo game boards for the Palatine Jaycees to support their Hometown Fest 4th of July tournament. Lee chose to support the Jaycees as he has had the benefit of experiencing the level of support the Jaycees provide to Palatine through the years while involved with the organization due to his family being active members.

As a Scout, Lee has experienced high adventure trips. He has lived on a remote island at Florida Seabase, canoed the beautiful country at Minnesota's Northern Tier and backpacked below the rim of the Grand Canyon. Each of these experiences has helped to mold him into a young man who will surely continue to impact his community in a positive way.
