Dundee Lions provide vision prescreening for young children

On Wednesday, May 8, the Dundee Township Lions Club provided a free vision pre-screening for 61 children, age 6 months to 10 years old, at Fox River Valley Public Library in East Dundee.

The new PlusoptiX Screener works like a camera and looks for nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. It is important to identify eye conditions that interfere with learning if not addressed.

It only takes five seconds which is great to evaluate young children.

Also, the Dundee Lions are pleased to announce they will help sponsor a reading program for children this summer at the library.
