Coach Dan Colucci notched his 400th victory as the Lancers (12-13, 7-10) won in the DuKane Conference. Jeremy Segreti homered and drove in 3 runs for Lake Park, which broke open the game with a 7-run top of the seventh inning. Thomas Klco pitched 6 innings to win on the mound.
Downers South 3, Willowbrook 1:
Complete-game winning pitcher Chris Gory struck out 12 for the Mustangs (15-10, 12-3) in their West Suburban Gold win. Jack Blazevich homered. Jack Hines went 2-for-4 for Willowbrook (20-4, 15-1).
Wheaton North 8, WW South 7:
Joe Klein homered and drove in 3 runs, and winning pitcher Andy Nelson had 4 hits and scored 4 runs for the Falcons (19-8, 14-4 DuKane Conference). Matt Scherrman went 2-for-4 with a homer and 4 RBI for WW South (13-12, 7-10).
Neuqua Valley 8, Waubonsie Valley 5:
The Wildcats (21-5, 12-1) broke out to a 7-0 fourth-inning lead in the DuPage Valley Conference. Justin Blazek went 3-for-4 while Mitch Rokosz had 2 RBI. Anthony Sterchele got the win and Nolan Clifford the save. Dan Esch had 2 hits for Waubonsie Valley (8-18, 6-8).
Lisle 5, Reed-Custer 1:
A.J. Casmer and Connor Nigro drove in 2 runs for the Lions (15-11, 5-7 Interstate Eight). Damian Guerrero, winning pitcher Cal Payne and Sam Russo had 2 hits.
St. Francis 2, Riverside-Brookfield 0:
Complete-game winning pitcher Nick Kosmetatos scattered 6 hits and struck out eight for the Spartans (18-4, 8-2), who swept the Metro Suburban Blue series. Bennett Eltoft went 3-for-3.
Naperville Central 3, York 2:
After Sam Hojnar doubled in the tying run in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Redhawks (6-22), Joe Wooten singled to drive in the winning run. Jared Suchevits was the complete-game winning pitcher. Ryan Ross doubled and homered for York (16-9).
Wheaton Academy 12, Addison Trail 1:
Shane Baumgarten's grand slam sparked the nonconference win for the Warriors (15-12). Tyler Stermetz was the winning pitcher in the five-inning game.
