Plants along East Grand business corridor in Gurnee to continue for third year
For the third year running, the East Grand business corridor in Gurnee will be getting an infusion of green this summer. Village contractors will be planting new plants and maintaining the existing plants along East Grand. According to a construction update from the village Friday, recent wet weather has delayed their progress so the targeted completion date at the end of May could be extended into June. The project started in 2017 as a way to beautify the area. In addition to being nice to look at, the plants chosen for the area are also hardy and able to stand up to winter weather and road salt.
