Girls soccer: St. Charles East ties for DuKane championship

St. Charles East earned its share of a DuKane Conference championship with a 3-0 win over Lake Park on Thursday.

Alondra Carranza gave the Saints (19-5, 6-1-0) a 1-0 halftime lead with an unassisted goal.

Carranza scored again in the second half assisted by Kayla Villa. Hannah Miller tallied on the final goal on another assist by Kayla Villa.

Grace Griffin made 1 save in 80 minutes.

St. Charles East and Batavia tied for the conference championship.

Crystal Lake South 2, Marian Central 0: On senior night, Abby Wiegand scored a goal in each half. Madisen Safraniec and Bella Farrington had assists.
