Crystal Lake Central 4, Huntley 2: Jimmy Fairley absorbed the Fox Valley Conference loss after allowing 4 earned runs on 6 hits and 3 walks in 3⅓ innings. Michael Talesky went 2-for-4 and Evan Tocmo doubled for Huntley (22-7, 15-6).
Prairie Ridge 7, Jacobs 1: Kyle Washington was responsible for half of the Golden Eagles' 4 hits in a Fox Valley Conference loss. Dominic Tenayuca took the loss for Jacobs (11-17, 6-11).
Crystal Lake South 4, Dundee-Crown 3: Patrick Fischer tied this Fox Valley Conference game with a sixth-inning sacrifice fly, and Nick Benedetto scored the winning run on a game-ending error. Winning pitcher Will Frisch held the Chargers to an unearned run on 3 hits, walked 2 and struck out a pair in 4 innings for CL South (16-9, 9-9). Starting pitcher Cameron Steinmetz held the Gators to an unearned run on 5 hits and 4 walks in 5⅓ innings.
South Elgin 9, Streamwood 2: South Elgin tied this Upstate Eight game at 2-2 in the fifth inning and scored 4 in the sixth to pull away. Grant Baker and Logan Romasanta each had 2 hits and drove in 2 runs, and winning pitcher Patrick Roy struck out 5 in 5 innings for South Elgin (18-5, 16-4). Connor Johnson held the Storm to 2 earned runs on 3 hits and 6 walks in 5 innings for Streamwood (14-10).
West Aurora 2, Elgin 1: The Blackhawks scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to keep Elgin winless. Reid Medlin was hit by a bases-loaded pitch to drive in the game-winning run. Kyler Scroggins pitched 2 innings of scoreless relief to earn the Upstate Eight win for West Aurora (18-7). Elgin starting pitcher Cameron Kendall lasted 6 innings, allowed 2 runs (1 unearned) on 3 hits and no walks and struck out three.
Somonauk 10, Aurora Christian 9: A 3-run uprising in the bottom of the seventh fell a run shy in a nonconference loss for the Eagles. Jake Kuntzendorf hit a 2-run home run and Declan Palmquist and Hunter Thompson doubled for Aurora Christian (13-7-1).
St. Edward 20, Westminster Christian 3: Mike Lopez and Jeff Mamrot drove in 5 runs apiece and winning pitcher Ethan Palomino struck out 5 in this nonconference win for St. Edward (15-13) over Westminster Christian (1-11).
Lake Park 1, Geneva 0: Blake Breon held the Lancers to an unearned run on 3 hits over 5 innings, did not issue a walk and struck out a pair, but the offense was limited to 3 hits in a DuKane Conference loss for Geneva (9-17-1, 3-13).
