Pitching matchups: The Cubs' Cole Hamels (3-0) vs. Sandy Alcantara (1-3) Monday at 7:05 p.m.; Jon Lester (2-1) vs. Caleb Smith (3-0) Tuesday at 7:05 p.m.; Kyle Hendricks (2-4) vs. Jose Urena (1-5) Wednesday at 7:05 p.m.; Yu Darvish (2-3) vs. Trevor Richards (0-4) Thursday at 1:20 p.m.

At a glance: The Cubs swept the Marlins in three at Miami in the middle of April. In that series, the Cubs outscored Miami 17-2, getting two shutouts. The Marlins are dead last in the National League East. Their run differential was minus-71 entering Sunday. The Cubs were at an NL-best plus-43. Former Cubs infielder Starlin Castro ledthe Marlins with 28 hits and had a line of .226/.284/.306 with 3 homers and 9 RBI.
