Trump's policies are working

I was astounded at Michael Gerson's column on the April 23 Opinion page. There are a number of points I would like to address.

Gerson says politics is an odd profession. Yes, he is right but is he also aware politics is not supposed to be a "profession"? Serving in our congress was never intended to be a lifetime profession but a limited service to the country, e.g., serve a term or two and go home.

On the Mueller thing - it was an attempted coups in my opinion. However, the president was found totally innocent of collusion with any Russians. In fact, I don't think he even uses Russian salad dressing. And there was not sufficient evidence to show obstruction either (he could have legally fired Mueller and didn't). It's only never-Trumpers like Gerson who is crushed and desperate to continue the witch hunt.

BTW, why would he have obstructed anyway when he didn't do anything wrong in the first place?

As far as the Russian meddling, they meddle and we meddle. It's gone on for decades. Remember when Obama sent people to Israel to try and thwart the election of Bibi Netanyahu?

On AG Barr, he has shown himself so far to be fair, very professional and brilliant IMHO.

Now, Gerson thinks the president should be impeached? I guess he is in the Maxine Waters fan club. Just because he and Maxie don't like Trump is no reason to impeach. The Dems will lose big time if they try that.

Final thought: policy over personality. President Donald Trump's policies are working and steadily making america great again.
