None hurt, 2 displaced in Naperville townhouse fire
No one was injured but a multifamily townhouse in Naperville was declared uninhabitable after a fire in its attic Friday afternoon.
Naperville firefighters said a resident reported smoke at the building in the 1000 block of Katherine Avenue at 3:37 p.m. and that a truck arrived on the scene within four minutes of the call.
The fire was confined to the attic and brought under control at 4 p.m., firefighters said.
Two residents were displaced but did not require additional services.
The Plainfield Fire Protection District, Warrenville Fire Protection District and Bolingbrook Fire Department provided coverage for Naperville fire stations.
