Waukegan U.S. Army Career Center Moves Location
WAUKEGAN, Illinois - In order to better serve the public, the U.S. Army Career Center in Waukegan has moved locations. The new location is located at 726 B North Green Bay Rd.
Since 1973, the US Army has been an all-volunteer service, necessitating the sustainment of career centers throughout the nation. The U.S. Army Career Center is a free resource to facilitate military accessions in the US Army Active Duty and US Army Reserve.
Staffed by trained and vetted recruiting professionals, the center actively recruits potential candidates with no prior service experience, and those who have served before. Information is available regarding a variety of topics, which include educational benefits, military pay, specialized training, travel, and leadership development.
Visiting the center does not constitute obligation to join, but rather to provide information for prospective Soldiers to make informed decisions.
Currently, only about 29 percent of youth meet the Army's cognitive, physical and moral requirements for service and Only about one percent of the U.S. population serves in the military.

Frank Muth, who leads U.S. Army Recruiting Command, based at Fort Knox, Kentucky. "Our station commanders and recruiters are working hard to connect to today's youth to ensure they understand how military experience can benefit them in the future."
