Bacon Brothers to return to Metropolis in Arlington Heights this summer

Kevin and Michael Bacon - who together form The Bacon Brothers rock band - will return to the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre in downtown Arlington Heights Aug. 19-20, officials announced Monday.

Older brother Michael, an acclaimed musician and composer, and younger brother Kevin, the award-winning actor, have become an audience favorite at the Metropolis, where they've brought their blend of folk, rock, soul and country in recent years.

Nearly two decades after their first album, "Forosoco," the brothers continue to bring their eclectic blend of Philadelphia rock and soul with their latest offering, "Americana 36 cents."

The brothers return for two shows - Monday, Aug. 19 and Tuesday, Aug. 20 - at 7:30 p.m. each night. Tickets, which are $75 for theater seats and $85 for stage tables, are on sale now at metropolisarts.com and the box office at (847) 577-2121.
