Nobody hurt in Bartlett house fire
No injuries were reported after a house fire in Bartlett Saturday morning, officials said.
Crews arrived at 7:20 a.m. to the home on the 200 block of Pleasant Drive to find smoke coming from the garage of the two-story home, according to a news release from the Bartlett Fire Protection District.
The first crews went into the garage and attacked the fire from the inside, while others connected a supply line to a fire hydrant and searched the building for trapped occupants, the release said.
The walls and ceilings had to be opened up in order to search for hidden fire, according to the release. Hanover Park firefighters and Bartlett police assisted at the scene.
Damage estimates were not immediately available, and the cause remains under investigation, the release said.
