Cook County sheriff searching for two Des Plaines-area teens

Officials are seeking help from the public finding two missing teens from an unincorporated area near Des Plaines.

Both teens - Marienne Catanaoan, 15, and Jose Salgado, 17 - are believed to have left during the night of April 25 and may be in Iowa, according to a news release from the Cook County sheriff's office.

Catanaoan is an Asian Pacific female, about 5-feet-2-inches tall, 130 pounds with brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a blue sweater with polar bears, green camo pants and tan Air Jordan shoes.

Salgado is a Hispanic male, about 5-feet-8-inches tall, 145 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jogging pants and white gym shoes.
