Josh Periaswamy came on to pitch the final three innings and earn the save. He allowed just 1 hit with 3 strikeouts and 2 walks.

Palatine 11, Schaumburg 9: In the completion of a suspended MSL West game, Josh Stitt had 3 hits and 2 RBI and Tyler Pecson added a double and 3 RBI for Palatine (12-10-1, 5-4). Shailan Rajpurkar (2 RBI), Luke Seiffert (2 hits) and Jake Andersen (2B) also contributed for the Pirates. Ryan Dysangco was the winning pitcher. Peter Kandefer had a grand slam home run for Schaumburg (7-11, 3-5) while Armen Torosian (2 hits, RBI) and Ryan Walker (2 hits, 2 RBI) also produced for the Saxons.
Buffalo Grove 4, Stevenson 3: Tristen Figus drove in 2 runs while Connor Adams and Riley Rundquist each added a double to lead BG (13-6) to a nonconference win. Mark Antonetti earned the pitching win for the Bison, going 6⅓ innings, allowing 6 hits with 2 strikeouts and no walks.
Deerfield 9, Maine West 7: Alex Del Real (2 hits, 2B, RBI) and Justin Scholler (2 hits, 2B, 2 RBI) led Maine West (8-10-1) in the Central Suburban League loss.
Bartlett 10, Conant 4: Ryan Schar (2 hits, 3B, 2 RBI), Keagan Brandt (2 hits), Tim Evans (2 hits) and Teague Conrad (2B) produced at the plate for Conant (5-15) in its nonconference loss.
Maine South 18, Niles North 2: Leading the Hawks in their CSL win were Bobby Inserra (3 hits, 2B, 3 RBI), Timmy O'Brien (2 hits, 2B, RBI), Zander Buchan (2 hits, 2B, RBI), Bobby Rinaldi (2B, 2 RBI), Mike Altman (2 RBI), Alden Teahan (3 RBI) and Ethan Quinn (2B, 3 RBI). Sam Corbett, one of four pitchers, got the win for Maine South (16-7).
