Oakton College board chooses new officers
Benjamin Salzberg of Northbrook is the new chairman of the Oakton Community College board, the college announced Wednesday.
Salzberg was chosen for the post by his fellow board members. Other board officers chosen this week include Martha Burns of Evanston as vice chairwoman, and Paul Kotowski of Niles as board secretary.
The college also installed newly elected trustees Gail Bush, Marie Lynn Toussaint and Wendy B. Yanow, each elected to serve a six-year term, and welcomed its newly-elected student trustee Adisa Ozegovic of Skokie, who will serve for the next year.
Salzberg succeeds Des Plaines resident Joan DiLeonardi, who did not seek a fourth term on the board after 18 years of service. He was elected to the board in 2015, and served as vice chairman in 2018-19 and secretary the year before. Bush, Toussaint and Yanow are Evanston residents.
