Wynnchurch Capital acquires Alliance Designer Products

ROSEMONT - Private equity firm Wynnchurch Capital has acquired Canadian manufacturer Alliance Designer Products Inc., the firm announced Tuesday.

Terms of the acquisition were not announced.

Alliance is a manufacturer of polymeric sand and related installation products used in residential and commercial hardscaping projects. The company serves the Canadian, U.S. and European markets from its headquarters in Mirabel, Québec.

Erin Murphy, managing director at Wynnchurch, said the firm acquired Alliance for its reputation for superior product quality, customer support and reliability, adding it "is well positioned for continued market leadership."

Funding for the acquisition came from Wynnchurch Capital's $1.3 billion Fund IV, the firm said. Alliance is the latest of acquisitions by Wynnchurch. In January, the firm acquired Boss Industries, a maker of power takeoff and engine driven rotary screw air technology.
