Premier promotes Melone, hires Long
Premier Design + Build Group in Itasca has promoted Mark Melone to executive vice president, director of construction.
The promotion is a result of Melone's 13 years of commitment and dedication to the company. He joined Premier in 2006 as its first project manager and rose through the ranks as the company continued to grow. Melone has led various project types to success nationwide and was instrumental in establishing the company's risk management program, as well as opening the company's Miami office.
Premier also hired Michael Long, LEED AP, as senior vice president, Midwest market leader. Long is a construction industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience leading teams in a variety of building types. Long will serve as the primary point of contact for Premier's clients, ensuring client expectations are consistently exceeded. He will lead the regional team in the company's client-first, proactive culture, anticipating project challenges before they arise.
Prior to joining Premier, Long served as vice president at Principle Construction Corp. in Rosemont, where he managed building teams for a variety of project types including industrial, commercial office, retail, educational and multiuse facilities.
